Sowers Trust ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and store your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

From time to time, photos and videos may be taken at events which may be used for promotional purposes. In the interests of security and safety, and the comfort of the Sowers Community, we may also operate video cameras within and around the Picton Centre premises. All photos/videoing will be from mid-range, will be appropriate and respectful for use. If closeups are taken, parental or individual permission will be sought according to the age of the individual involved.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information
Information gathered will only be used for the reason it was gathered. Staff and volunteers will not disclose or distribute information, other than what is necessary for the proper performance of their duties and responsibilities, or as required by law.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties only in the following circumstances:

We take reasonable precautions to protect the security of your personal information and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of data.
All information is kept within a lockable room that is in the Trust office, or online in a secure client services database. Client records will be kept for 10 years. Paper documentation with client information on it will be destroyed via a shredder. Documentation on the database will be deleted as appropriate. This includes but is not limited to information about the Employer’s business.
5. Access to and Correction of Personal Information
You have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. If you would like to access or update your personal information, please contact us using the contact details provided below.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Policy on our website. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
